Mentoring

It's important that our children have positive role models in their lives.  A role model being someone whose behavior, example or success can be emulated by others.  The first and foremost role model in a child's life is his or her parents  A child's peers also serve a role.  At OLLS, each school year all kindergarten and 1st grade students are paired with 8th and 7th grade student buddies, respectively.  These older students serve as mentors to the younger children, helping them grow spiritually, academically, and socially, modeling to these younger students, the "Lourdes Way."   The younger students also provide an opportunity for our older students to learn to serve and help others.
