Athletics
The athletic program teaches students to respect themselves and others through learning to compete in athletics with a focus on Christian sportsmanship. This program is competitive and most teams have try-outs.
The athletic program is sponsored by Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and is subject to the authority of the school administration.
Teams by Sport
Girls: Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Soccer
Boys: Soccer, Cross Country, Basketball, and Baseball
- A student may participate in only one sport per season. All students in Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th are eligible for all Varsity Sports. Junior Varsity teams are composed of students in Grades 6th and 7th only.
- Students must have at least a 2.0 Grade Point Average to tryout for a team
- No student is allowed to try out, practice, or participate in school sports if they did not attend school that day or left school due to illness.
- Students need to be in school no later than 11:30 AM on full days and 9:00 AM on half days to participate in school sports.
- Students must complete and return the Athletic Participation Form before they can participate in tryouts for any sport.
- Students must have required sports agreements, fees, and medical waivers completed before the first scheduled game. A current physical (within one year) must be on file.
LEAP
The purpose of the OLLS Extended Afternoon Program, or LEAP, is to provide a safe, nurturing after school care for children attending Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. The LEAP staff describe the program as a family of friends spending their afternoons together.
LEAP operates on days when school is in session from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM. On days when school is dismissed early, LEAP begins at 12:00 PM and ends at 4:00PM. The cost for LEAP is $15 for the first hour and $10 for additional hours.
If school is dismissed early because of inclement weather, LEAP will not operate.
The daily routine includes: first approximately 40 minutes for homework, bathroom breaks and play centers, games or arts/crafts, then snack distribution (provided by the program or you may send your child with something), next recess on the playground (approximately an hour outside weather permitting) and finally a wind down with quieter activities such as crafts, movies board games, puzzles, etc.

Lunch Program
OLLS offers a hot lunch program for the convenience of our parents.
This year we are partnered with Moe’s, Jersey Mikes, Chick-fil-A and Vic’s to offer hot lunches Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Milk (2% or chocolate,), water, and ice cream are available on hot lunch days. Ordering is through ParentsWeb.
