Serving Students Pre-K to 8th Grade

Volunteer

OLLS truly cultivates a school community. When you register your child at Our Lady of Lourdes School, we expect you to be an active part of our school community and encourage you to work with other families. As a friendly reminder, volunteers must complete the Safe Environment Training and keep it current.

We expect you to support our school by giving of your time, your talents, and financial support.

  • Your time: We ask all families at Our Lady of Lourdes School to contribute twenty hours of service each year, or ten hours if you are a single parent.
  • Your talents: We ask all families to let us know the talents you have so that we can use these talents to support all children attending Our Lady of Lourdes School.
  • Your finances: We ask that all families contribute to the financial support of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School through tuition, fundraisers, and other opportunities to support our growth.

Payment of tuition and fees according to the agreed payment plan. To receive the Our Lady of Lourdes tuition rate, a family must be registered at Our Lady of Lourdes and actively participating in the liturgical life of the parish. This includes regular Sunday worship at Our Lady of Lourdes, support of the parish through time, talent, and treasure, in particular, through gifts made to the weekly offertory fund.

Support of our school fund-raisers : Support of school fundraisers, which are sponsored by the Home & School Association (HASA).

Parent Involvement

Parents/guardians carry the obligation of being the fundamental educators of their children. By choosing Our Lady of Lourdes for your children, you have asked us to share that responsibility with you. To make Our Lady of Lourdes School a better place for our children, parental awareness and support of programs and activities aimed at improving the spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth of our children are vital. Parental cooperation is also essential for the welfare of students. If, in the opinion of the administration, parent behavior seriously interferes with the teaching/learning process, the school may require parents to withdraw their children and sever the relationship with the school.

It is the responsibility of the parents to provide a Christian environment at home and make a commitment to the Christian community of their choice.

Parent Volunteer Programs

Volunteer workers are essential to the smooth operation of the school. We encourage mothers, fathers, grandparents, and senior citizens to offer their many and varied talents to help our children and enrich our educational programs. Volunteers must complete the Safe Environment Training and keep it current. Volunteer opportunities vary from in-classroom or lunchroom support to field trips and parent organizations. Opportunities will be shared through teachers and staff alike.
